THE AUTHOR — A LIFE CONNECTED TO HISTORY
Ademir Souza’s journey began in Brazil, where he spent eight years as a teacher before building a new life in the United States.
After arriving in America, he worked in different trades and eventually spent years working in construction and industrial maintenance. His life was built through work, perseverance, learning, and a continuing interest in people and their stories.
Years later, while renovating a house in New Jersey, an unexpected discovery changed the direction of his life: a box containing hundreds of personal letters exchanged during the World War II era.
What could easily have been discarded became something Ademir felt deserved to be preserved.
He carefully organized the letters, studied their chronology, and began reconstructing the human story behind them. That work eventually became Letters Across the Pacific.
For Ademir, this project is more than a book. It is an effort to preserve ordinary voices that survived an extraordinary period of history — and to allow a new generation to hear them.

BEYOND THE LETTERS — THE AUTHOR’S BOOKS

“Writing is another way of preserving experiences, exploring ideas, and sharing stories with future generations.
Alongside Letters Across the Pacific, Ademir Souza has written other works reflecting on life, freedom, perseverance, and the human experience.”
